Amazon Online

Topics:

I’ve always been fascinated by Amazon.com mainly because I wondered why it stood out amongst all the other online retailers. And after reading more about it in CSIB, I felt a need to write about it a little more. Amazon is going to be introducing a service where for a fee, customers will receive online access to books which they buy from Amazon. I’m starting the question the digitalization of books. Though is may seem resourceful and easy, I’m afraid that the future of books will be in the digital realm. I enjoy holding on to my hardcopy and not having to flinch at the computer screen from reading online for hours. I just hope that I don’t have a class in the future which only offers its texts online. That’s going to be a lot of printing fees for me.
