A visit to Career Consulting Physicians
Career Consulting Physicians and I had a meeting today to help them become Power Information Consumers. We seem to have made good progress.

I visited Ivo Drury over at Career Consulting Physicians today. In an earlier post, I had promised to put together a how-to for using the Sage feedreader with Firefox. It seemed better to go visit Ivo in person. That way I could get a feel in real time for what might work for him. The goal of the visit was to get Ivo to take the first step in becoming a Power Information Consumer who could then find others to interact with. I think we succeeded.
The things we accomplished were as follows:
- Installed the sage feedreader.
- Demonstrated technorati, a service for tracking blog sites that link to each other.
- Made Career Consulting Physicians a member of technorati.
- Showed Ivo pubsub, a service for prospectively tracking web citations about your blog, and developed a subscription for him.
- Showed Ivo feedster, a weblog searching service, and turned up several hits for blogs that might be relevant to Career Consulting Physicians.
I note tonight that Ivo seems to have found a relevant site and is providing commentary. So, I feel that interaction has started. Now, what about community? We'll see
