Oracle buys Innobase. MySQL between rock and hard place?
MySQL is a free database that provides functionality similar to Oracle. Zawodny's analysis is that Oracle is trying to suck the lifeblood out of MySQL. My cut is that MySQL has been trying to replace the part that Oracle bought, so maybe not so bad.
